A short little novel about Bundles of Blossoms
I started my company Bundles of Blossoms a little over 3 years ago after having a devastating 3rd pregnancy. Both of us survived, but only by the grace of God and medical technology. We have 3 healthy, wild & crazy boys (why lie, they are truly boys) & my husband is my best friend (mushy mushy, sad but true) -it doesn't get much better than that, if you ask me.
I started thinking about my true career and what I always loved-NEW FASHIONS & BABIES, but knew I still wanted to work at home. Thank goodness for computers and the world wide web. It's been very generous to me. Although, I was all thumbs, seriously, when it came technology.
I started Bundles of Blossoms and began working towards a celebrity clientelle and wanted to keep moms, like myself, in non mass produced boutique style for everything they would need and want in parenting. Now, I am talking, completely over the top sometimes, but the business was a hit. The greatest part about carrying and designing these luxury gifts was that it spilled over into mainstream moms, grandma's and aunts, as well. When shopping at Bundles of Blossoms it's not about the price. It's truly about specifically shopping, finding and purchasing a designers craft or art, so to speak. These gifts hold incredible resale value, in case you ever wanted to sell them, and also are of true heirloom quality for a family. The business I have chosen is a small niche. Although, many wealthy and celebrity clientelle have the funds for Bundles of Blossoms gifts, I love more than anything else selling to the mainstream world, because we can all be celebrities in our own ways and appreciate and value the gift from knowing these are rare and special purchases that will create a memory for our children!
In less than a year I was asked to join a Bel Air event for celebrities and the rest is history. I have been on tv, magazines, many newspapers and boutiques. My designs are NOT in the big stores and they are not in millions of boutiques, because that takes away from the definition of boutique, don't you think?
If you have noticed I have left out all of the fake MUMBO JUMBO stuff that most of these "about me" pages put in them. I love crazy, boutique novelty gifts, decor, clothing and such, but with style, sophistication & truly fun items. The ridiculous home grown items are not for me nor my clients. I am all about supporting new artisans who have the same passion for luxury & trendsetting designs, just like my own, like the artisans that I represent and discover.
I work many many many late nights, still, even at this point of the business. A fire ravaged through our home and yes, our design studio last september 2006 and I sometimes finish up designs sitting on my, VERY CLEAN living floor, temporarily, until the rebuild is finished. All of these tragedies have only made me stronger and my passion for design and the love of the business more intense. I love perfection and I love the oohs and ahhs! I love to make a clients day and in the same respect they make mine. It's a total rush!
I am a real person & not a computer program. I am someone who will take care of your boutique dreams and fulfill them. I will be your personal shopper that finds the artisan with the exact design you long for, although they might be found on the other side of the world. I want you to take care of the more important things in your life while I use my resources, on the internet, to get you exactly what you want in a short period of time. I am the one who will get your little one noticed or your nursery and baby shower gifts talked about at the water cooler on monday morning. Let me get you what you want and you can take the time to self indulge for you and your kids-it's an awesome feeling.
Go, ahead and be the talk of the town. It's oh so much fun! Be the trendsetter in your community and mommy group. Go ahead, I double dog dare you....wink.....
